@gemlog Well, as a village grows in size, there comes a point where it's likely to have a shop. Odds on it's a Spar that fills that need. In towns, they tend to just target neighbourhoods that are further away from other shopping areas. I don't know whether they're poorer areas or not, but it's possible.
